George Town on Great Exuma was great fun.  The fact it was their Regatta week was a complete surprise to us and we found ourselves anchored amongst nearly 400 other visiting yachts.  The atmosphere ashore was great and we used Elvis’s water taxi and our little dinghy to get backwards and forwards between the anchorage and the town and Volleyball Beach on Stocking Island where the ice cold beers at the Chat and Chill Bar were just perfect.

This morning we weighed anchor early and sailed gently north under full sail until the wind ran out and we anchored here behind Rudder Cut Cay for the tonight.

We want to leave at dawn tomorrow and unfortunately the most convenient anchorage here already had an American power boat in it so we anchored several boat lengths away so not to crowd him but already he has been talking to other power boaters on the VHF and moaning about us…….I’m beginning to get the impression that the US has proportionally more whingers than the UK!
