For most of yesterday the wind was very light making our progress irritably slow mainly because the sails flogged noisily  as Moonstone rolled in the heavy swell.  Mid afternoon a line of big black hairy clouds appeared across the horizon, we reefed right down and a squall arrived with a bang and it hasn’t stopped blowing hard ever since......so we are romping along again.

We’ve just crossed the deepest part of Puerto Rico Trench and in the middle the depth was 8170 metres, that converts to 26798 feet or 5 miles of water between us and the sea bed – wow!
