Our stay in Provincetown was memorable for a near gale on an expensive ($100 per night) and exposed mooring.   We bucked and reared most of the night and unfortunately Provincetown didn’t really live up to it’s gay capital of the eastern seaboard reputation......rather tatty and tawdry.
We motored down to the Cape Cod Canal, timed it perfectly and rode a positive tide all the way to Clarks Cove (New Bedford) for a blissfully tranquil night.  Today we ran with a gentle following wind to Newport Rhode Island where we are anchored amongst some of the world’s finest superyachts.
