We left York harbour at high water to avoid battling the strong tide.  It is definitely getting warmer every day as we move south.
With open mouths we watched a water spout develop before we belatedly took in a couple of reefs as a 35 knot gust hit us.......lots of spray and lots swearing as I was soaked by a couple of waves as I was going forward to the mast!
We’ve ducked into the Gloucester anchorage tonight and anchored as the front passes through....it is raining for the first time since we were in Nova Scotia.
