We arrived in Placencia to find that our generator was dumping all its oil out of every orifice so we spent a couple of days stripping its engine down and ordering parts from the UK.  Placencia is a pleasant town but with little to see or do (except sit in a bar) we headed back out to the barrier reef spending a couple of nights off Hideaway Cay in the Pelican Cays.  Today we had a glorious, dare I say perfect, sail in blue skies and even bluer sea to Garbutt Cay in the Fly Cay Range where we’ve anchored for tonight.  We stopped here a week ago and in the morning a fisherman in his canoe sold us four live lobsters for £4, hopefully he will reappear tomorrow.
