Tonight we are reaching across to the West coast of Isla Juventad making fast progress in a lumpy cross sea.  With two reefs in the main and three in the genoa we are still going too fast for our dawn approach to the coast......we don’t want to arrive in the dark as navigation buoys are often unlit or missing so we have to slow down and if the wind does not ease off I guess it’ll mean heaving to for a couple or more hours.  The strangest thing is to see or hear no other ships!
