After a long trip down the east coast of the USA we have finally reached the southern tip.  Today’s short sail from Marathon was uneventful although we had nearly 20 knots on the quarter making it a fast passage.
Our problems with the stern gland that was either seriously leaking or getting too hot seem to be resolved and Moonstone is in good order to sail south and into the western Caribbean.
Back in the Dismal Swamp we met an ex pat British couple, Paul and Gaynor, sailing their yacht Meridian to join their son and his family in Key West.....we will be meeting up with them here during Christmas to share a bottle or two.
Then it will be time to find a decent weather window to cross the Gulf Stream and continue on our travels......
