A very lazy day , making for Craobh Haven ( 56:12.70N, 005:33.0W), which is only a couple of hours away.

No need to leave until around 1300, after lunch, so a leisurely morning and bacon sandwiches in the tea shop. Then off out through the sea lock and across the ‘notorious’ stretch of water known as Dorus Mor. This timing meant we got there at slack water, and it was a windless , sunny day. Result....mirror calm sea.

We would have got to Croabh by 1500, so decided to make the most of the afternoon and carried on for a motor sail around Loch Melfort, just admiring the scenery and enjoying the sun. Then back to Craobh and tied up at this nicely sheltered spot around 1600. It could be mid summer...we are going to pay for this long stretch of good weather soon I fear...

This is more like it...absolutely nothing to do and some decent heat, at least for this part of the world.  Did some exploring on the boat and found a really good hiding place in the sail cover, but still no scorpions.
