Wednesday
Went ashore and walked east and inspected the restored tide mill where corn used to be ground and is now a museum and local craft shop.

Dave's next boat!  (or tender to the next one!)

Lunch was calamares and the local pimentos de padron which are lovely and sweet and we bought some to have aboard! The wind got up in the afternoon and after dinner we went to "Mi Dushi" for drinks and a natter. Customs also paid another visit. Where does the time go?

Thursday

A beautiful morning in Muros with no wind. The clam diggers are up to their waists ( and beyond!) in water and the 3 fisherman are once again laying their net around the boat which they immediately haul but seem to catch very little.

        clam diggers just visible

The mud on the anchor chain is black and filthy and it takes a while for Lynn to wash it all off.  The hills are clear in the morning light and it is very pleasant motoring down the Ria. The forecast is for NW winds but again the very light wind is in the South!

Lots of fishing boats of all sizes are about and we keep an eye out for pot markers- even in 120 metres of water! In the light wind we navigate the inside passage through " Canal de Sagres" and past Aguino- the pilot says it is a 250 metres wide channel but looking at the rocks lurking either side it does not feel like it!

Into the Ria Arosa and it feels like an inland lake and a passing fisherman offers us a squid for (we think) 2 euros but neither of us felt like dealing with it although we do enjoy " Calamares fritas".

The granite rocks are very rounded and have strange formations and we tacked in light airs up the Ria to Pobra de Caraminal where we moored at the marina after 5 nights at anchor. We had planned to anchor again but the bay I had picked off a lovely sandy beach was over looked by an industrial looking town so we passed by.

View from cockpit ..........hills on one side and beach on the other     ( Marina in right hand corner of picture)

Pobra de Caraminal town is very pleasant and after an exploratory walk we returned to Moonbeam for a fresh mackerel starter ( caught by me!) and a Lynn special lasagne.!

Friday
Woke up to a very sunny morning but a very fresh wind from the NE.

Long walk to the next bay around the corner.
