The anchor was well buried when we came to leave in the morning but with no wind we rounded Mizzen Head with the tide in flat calm and a wonderful display by dolphin’s welcomed us to the West Coast.

We logged 32 miles under power to Glengariff Harbour where we anchored off Bark Island. The wooded anchorage is very attractive but there are no obvious easy places to go ashore and leave the dinghy. We enjoyed the forest walk which took us to the village where there was plenty of opportunity to eat and drink.
