The way to arrive in all these atolls is obviously during the day in nice
clear sunny weather, as then you'll be able to bee the reefs and so on.
The way NOT to arrive is to set off a bit late after snorkelling and messing
about with boats and emails all morning, realise that the target is seven
hours away and not three, and eventually shoot the pass on autopilot in
pitch darkness. Yeek. One other boat in the anchorage - the nice French
guy came over to see if we were ok. Obviously thought I must be a complete
idiot - "wow - he definitely needs help!" So he came over, decided that
praps i wasn't a total and utter lunatic and agreed that yes, we're okay
anchored here.
