38:06N 27:10W Motoring 105T at 6 knots., wind ENE 7knots ish.
Hum, the forecast is a bit iffy, with winds expected to 30+ knots and mebbe
5m beam seas later in the week. We've come a little bit south to pass under
the island of San Miguel, main island of the Azores and can decide tomorrow
morning whether to bravely change our plans and wait it out for a few days
in a marina there in Ponte Delgado, the capital, or to continue towards Gib.
Usually, these decisions are made tougher because crew have other
committments, flites, jobs etc. but (very unusually) nobody on the boat has
a job to get back to, nor even has a flight to catch. So we could just
explore San Miguel (which is sposed to be quite nice) instead of doing the
bangity crash. We'll see. It woulda been beter to go on Friday, but crew
change didn't hapen till late Saturday. Heyho.
Todd made rather excelent curry for dinner, and with a windless evening I
showed everyone how to play Nurdle Drurdle, a stupid cxard game. Fred had
been to a nightclub so he woke up after 2pm to find himself already several
hours out at sea.
Loads of dolphins, but no fish.
