If you get this email direct - don't reply! Cos it will bung up the inbound
emails. But feel free to text anytime, especially if you have weather info
from Gibraltar into the Med.
It is 1:30 in the morning and we are gently motorsailing across whatever the
bay is called between Portugal and Spain. Eric and JJ arrived back at the
boat in Vilamoura with their bikes, slightly dismantled them, and bunged
them in an aft cabin. Then Eric suggested that we may as well go
straightaway, so we did.
It's about 150nm to Gibraltar from Vilamoura, and hence, pah, hardly worth
getting worried about. No wind, slight sea, SOG 6-7 knots. We'll be in
Gibraltar perhaps sometime in the afternoon, bit of fuel and on we'll go.
Our ultimate target for this leg is southern France. I do like this
planet-trundling.
For busy shipping lanes I suggested we have two on deck at any one time, one
sleeping. So JJ is having a kip and Eric has already had a few hours.
