We're floating around the coast of Ibiza, due to go over to Mallorca early
next week. Meanwhile I am tidying up the boat...and discovering little
buttonhole "pins" hidden around the place, on curtains and up in corners
around doorframes etc. Some Canadian pixies must have been round. Karim,
Marc or MattD are other possibilities, and i think this seems like Karim's
handiwork as most incurable romantic type of the three. On the transat,
Karim spent at least fifty hours making a handcrafted letter to a
girlfriend, all written on the back of segments of an old chart. What a
smoothie eh? So anyway these pins are nice reminders of their visit.
Actually i have found three pins - perhaps because there were three
Canadians?
Not forgetting Dan - I found his voicemail to my cellphone the other day he
must have skyped me from the airport, helpless voice sez helloo Matt, me
plane goes in an hour I'm fooked. Aw. But he got his passport and flight in
the end. I think Dan is now back in Oz. Hi Dan.
Enough of this, time to look forward. Balearics cruise ends 14th July and
we then cross to souther France, weather permitting. There's an inspection
visit from Mr and Mrs BxWx in late July, and then August 6th (i think?)
James and family are to join Mojomo for the 1500-mile Hell Ride to Lanzarote
er, I mean, the gentle med cruise towards the Canaries. Got the downwind
sail sorted now though so should be ok in northerly tradewinds from Gib,
though it still got to 40knots last year.
