another middle of the night posting! We were joined at just before sunset by a couple of hitchhikers in the form of some jackdaw like birds which have taken up residency firstly on the bimini (no doubt pooing on my solar panels) then when they could not grip there, on the boom and various cords etc. We had to chase them off one location when one tried to settle on the windvane, which i am sure would have mucked up its ability to helm the course!
we have set an exclusion zone around any Venezuelan land of 30 miles and there are a couple of islands stuck out here which mean that we will have to put a couple of gybes in to avoid them.
