We are most assuredly in Columbian waters an have even caught sight of land. Soon, well tomorrow lunchtime, we will be at the foot of the Sierra Nevadas which are the highest coastal mountain range in the world i am told! 15000 feet with snow! But that is where our problem lies, so added to our 20-30 knots of easterly wind we will have the katabatic winds dropping off the mountains. These are reportedly worse at night so we are going to try and get past at lunchtime early afternoon....we shall see, with 109 miles to go it is difficult to call.
