My most ambitious trip this season. It was great sailing with the wind on the beam and we did the 130nm in under 24 hours.

My nephew Sam who professionally skippers a 70 foot motor yacht was in Paros for a couple of days waiting for the owner and his family to arrive. He had sorted me out a berth in a very crowded Marina.

Sam's boat is quite magnificent and beautifully kept.

It is the dark hulled boat in the centre.

Sam manages the boat for the owner with just one crew member Chris.

Chris is on the left. He is a very skilled free diver and he was very helpful on going down and cleaning Minka's propellers.

Naousa is very much a holiday town with lots of great restaurants around an ancient harbour.

The remains of an old naval defence castle or tower are in one corner of the harbour.

I had a great couple of days with Sam and Chris and will see them again in Cyprus in September.
