The Bridge was eventually opened at about 2230. I am glad it wasn't any later as I had been having a very convivial evening on board with the chap from the Swedish boat. Another hour and I would have run out of gin.

We enjoyed this sunset as we were waiting.

When they open the bridge all the people who are in the cars get out and watch the boats go through. They are joined by the locals from all the bars and restaurants some of whom are quite merry. The experience of going through is therefore very noisy and you do a lot of waving and responding to shouted comments.....,..great fun.

After going through the bridge I moored up outside a restaurant for the night.

I am sorry about the next few photos which are tinted because I must have pressed something on my phone.

We passed this sailing boat on our way to Orei. It was well reefed down.

I have never seen a fish farm being towed before.

The harbour in Orei has a charter flotilla based there. We went alongside a Bavaria 46 which was great as I was able to avoid using my anchor.

Minka against the Bavaria.
