When we left Thassos we headed north towards the Greek mainland to a port and town called Kuvala. Approaching the place was not encouraging….

…. but closer in there was some sort of a castle.

The yacht club berths looked pretty full and no one rushed out to welcome me…..

……Minka wouldn’t have been happy there amongst all those AWBs (Average White Boats). We went and had a look at the town quay….

….which had plenty of space but the quay is so high that each berth has a metal set of stairs hanging out from the quay. So we gave it a miss and went to a sheltered bay called Elevtheron. There was a derelict castle which we anchored near. This was very quiet although we were joined later by a few fishing boats parking up for the night.
