The wind has held and backed enough to let us head for Flores all morning.  We made good 111 miles out of 124 sailed yesterday but with the GPS reading 6 knots we may do better today.  The previous calm has let the sea settle so we are not trying to drive into big waves.

Dolpins again, I have seen them three or four times today and one jumped right out of the water, just astern of us.  White-sided dolphins, the normal American ones.  There are more seabirds about as well, shearwaters and petrels. Exactly which ones I am not sure.  They are too quick and the boat too bouncy for binoculars and they do not come close enough for me to tell.

I finished the lettuce and tomatoes yesterday, they were still fresh after two weeks at sea.  I must not say a fortnight if I want the Americans to understand.  Since the emergency rations today were albacore steak, the suffering is not severe.  There is enough food, gas and water to get me to England.

Following my wash yesterday I trimmed my beard today.  Hair combing tomorrow.

I spent time this morning writing out my understanding of how deep and shallow water waves work.  I think I have got that bit clear, it seems to match the equations and velocities.  Now for the transitions between the them.
