hi all,

Short blog as quite frankly we are being thrown around like being in a washing machine. the seas are rough but more problematic is the fact that the waves are coming from all sides. I can’t remember what it feels like to be dry!

We broke our foot steering on day one which was awful news. We’ve made a temporary fix but it makes steering really difficult with your foot. it’s really slowed our progress. We’ve no idea how the rest of the fleet is doing but I imagine with the hold ups we are towards the back. We also broke our bilge pump which has meant manual bailing. Just what you need. However the good news is that Andy just fixed it and it’s noisier but running. Some good news.

I’ve (Sean) been hit by awful seasickness. Just can’t keep any food or fluids down. I’m still necking them in the hopes some of it sticks. My last meal was thrown up and for an hour after I was picking all day breakfast out of my nose! Not good when you’re already ill. Suffice to say it’s tough. Damn tough but we plough on.
