We have had a very sociable few days. A good gathering of the Martin/White clans to inter Robin's Mum's ashes in Dunoon followed by Lunch at the Argyll hotel . Back to Mandalay to escape the rain for Wimbledon, Euro football and a take away curry delivered to the marina.
The next morning we waved off the Australian Martins in their camper van as they headed for Arran and then onto the southwest where they will catch up with Phillipa and Cora. Time for a tidy up and prepare to move on, next appointment Inverkip.
Friday 8th July the day started miserable but by lunchtime we had sunshine when we arrived in Kip.
Saturday was the day we arranged for Hilary (nursing friend from Topsham not seen since 2000) and Simon came for a sail in the Clyde. The weather let us down a bit but we still got out and got wet motor sailing over to Rothesay. We spent the evening at the Inverkip hotel and had a very good supper. After a long night of reminiscing and a little Campbleton malt whisky we all slept fairly well, though there was a bit of a snoring challenge.
