Well things are generally going well, the sea state is a little complex with the winds directly behind us, but we have made good time and will be round Cape Reinga later this evening and heading in the general direction of Sydney so we can sail in some wind until we get closer to Australia at which point the wind direction will be more favourable to head towards Melbourne. The waves are a bit confused which is why Leigh is feeling under the weather but he is getting plenty of sleep and water into him so I’m sure when we turn the corner he will feel a lot better.

Johnny be goode is performing well and the autopilot is coping well and is certainly making the trip easier for all of us. There isn’t too much else to say yesterday evening a couple of Dolphins came over to say hello for about 10 minutes and then went on their way (I think they got board with our lack of speed!) This afternoon I’m going to drop the fishing line over the back to see if there are any Tuna around that want to join us on the trip!!

Cheers

Mark, James and Leigh
