This is our first morning of the delivery of
Catamaran ‘Duende’ which is name after the spirit of flamenco music!
There are three of us on board, Alex Peckham,
his son Oliver and Myself as Skipper Mark
Needler. It was a really cold night in the Town basin
Whangarei, bur the morning has be fantastic with sunshine but unfortunately no
wind. So we are motoring towards Little Barrier at the moment leaving it to the
north and will be heading towards Tauranga hopefully getting in before the low
pressure really kicks in around midday tomorrow, at which point I am hoping that
we are tied up safely in the Tauranga
Marine. If all goes to plan I hope favourable weather
will start in the morning and we can round East cape and head down the east
coast towards
Wellington. There is not a lot else to say I’ll update the
blog at around 1200 everyday with the latest
report. Happy
