A 33 mile motor saw us round Pta Rocadoira on our way to Viveiro. This is the first stage of rounding the infamous Cabo Ortegal. There was no wind to start with but enough just off the port bow to fill a tight flat two reef main and keep us relatively steady. The sea off the headland was very confused with a swell running in one direction, the current in another and what there was of wind then went dead behind us. Most uncomfortable!
We arrived here at 1500 and are are parked up in one of the tightest marinas we have yet encountered. Getting out is going to be interesting——we are well and truly marinated!
The town is nothing to get excited about but has an old walled centre and old church. We move west tomorrow to try and get a bit further "round the corner"———assuming we can extract ourselves from the marina!
