We arrived in Sauzon yesterday afternoon and picked up a mooring buoy outside the harbour. A calm afternoon, a swim (19 degrees!!) and supper ashore was followed by a rather uncomfortable night as the wind went round to the East and caused a nasty chop. The crew woke to unscramble the line from the anchor at 1.30 am.A lot of indecision this morning resulted in us going ashore and going for a pleasant walk to the north west corner of the island to view an anchorage from the land---- it looked lovely but not the place to be in the forecast NW 4 to 5 so that idea was abandoned. Inland this island is beautiful and the walks are well marked.
We have moved the boat into the inner harbour to get a little protection behind the harbour wall as the wind is forecast to come back into the north east and pick up in the latter part of the night. We are on a fore and aft mooring, two buoys with rings, picked up with ease by the crew!
