Wednesday 6th June. Had a great days sail to Laredo, though mostly on a beat. At least we had some wind, and it's sunny at last! Laredo is a huge new marina, with a very posh three storey office block occupied by 2 staff!! See photo of entrance.
There is hardly anyone here, but we met a really friendly Spanish man called Jose Luis Saura Lopez, who is a pilot captain, though on his hols at the moment, and has taught us lots of new spanish words when he came over for a drink. Our on-line translator made him laugh.
A nice place with a huge sandy beach, and dunes full of wild flowers, and an artists walk lined of sculptures and trees grafted together into walls
