Early morning to rise first.or was I? The aft cabin was empty, the washboards were removed, Mark was not on board.had my crew "jumped ship" already? Thankfully not, just a walk up to the marina facilities!! So, rejoined, a study of the weather forecasts - the Bay or outside and when? Winds of 25+kn at midnight tonight were not welcome, and given the easing of the wind on Thurs, perhaps a reasonable sail on Thurs, we decided to take the outside route and head for Cape May - leaving early tomorrow morning (Wedn) to catch the out-flowing tide at the Norfolk Bay bridge /tunnel (the Chesapeake Bay entrance/exit).

So, a more relaxed day ahead of us, a hearty breakfast, Mark having brewed coffee (to his satisfaction!) and enjoyed on the seat stern , the day was filled by a safety briefing, a rigging demonstration and an engine start. All was well, although a visual inspection of the bow thruster (when deployed) showed a stop nut to have dislodged - a quick repair with cable ties to re-affix the bolt and retracted perfectly.ready to go!.

As predicted the SW wind picked up strength as the afternoon slipped by. Time to walk around the marina and the nearby locomotive museum and thence onto the local brewery for sundowners before dinner on the boat, sustained for tomorrow's departure!
