Sunlight pours in through the portholes, clear blue sky and a warm sunny day ahead. What a difference! Even the jelly fish have arrived in the warmer marina waters. A few easy jobs to do on the boat (NO masthead trips!) and then to the cinema to purchase tickets for the evening's performance of "The Avengers" - the last few dining tables left! The Commodore theatre - built in 1945 in art deco style with muriel painting walls, chandeliers and ladies and gents smoking rooms! Closed in the late 70's due to the absence of downtown visitors and then re-opened 12 years later, fully restored but converted to a dine and watch experience (a prelude to the "Studio Movie Grills now abundant in various States).

A short scenic route back to the boat around Portsmouth front, passing the ferry boats, the old lightship and Naval museum on the way.

Then to our dining experience before the movie, pity the main course arrives at the same time as the starters, but a discussion with the manager resolved the issue as we sat to enjoy the film. A bucket of popcorn appears ("compliments from Gary)! Vey nice.
