A very restful sleep and Aunt Jemma's pancakes, laced with pears and maple syrup to start the day! Cast-off for an out-going tide, past Southport town and into the wide, deep channel to head out to see.
Wind over tide created a choppy start to get into deep water, but once the north easterly course was set, the sails full and the waves settled down we were comfortably on our way by early afternoon.
Sundowners and evening meal as the sun dipped below the horizon, settling in for a night at sea with no depth worries!!
