Clear blue sky, warming sun and a delightful view over to the marina and Charleston greeted our awakening. Although, on the opposite shore a few fallen yachts - victims of the hurricane season still waiting to be recovered.or left abandoned, was a sad sight.

Morning spent swinging on the anchor, outboard on the dinghy ready to motor across the channel to the dinghy dock of the Mega Yacht Marina (with permission)! The outboard performed perfectly - against and unpleasant chop as wave washed backed from the dockside. we were a little wet when arriving at the posh marina dock!! Nevertheless, it was an ideal landing as only a very short walk to the North Sails sail loft (less than 100m) to collect a pre-ordered mainsail batten. Deciding to purchase the full length (over 17') and cut it to the optimal length measure against the sail meant our dinghy back was interesting with the batten extending over both front and rear of Mini Magic!

In the cooling evening breeze, sundowners, backgammon and home-made turkey burgers sizzling on the transom BBQ rounded off the day.
