Dawn broke with fire on the horizon - a glorious sunrise and warmth to chill our bones - it was a cold night! However, the Cape was clearly in view - the giant buildings that used to house NASA's space programmes and even a rocket on the launch pad! No broadcast of an imminent launch but we still kept out of the "no-go" coastal area - just in case (hence the "fuzzy" long distance photos)!

Rounding the Cape and entering the channel - plenty of activity - everything from a casino boat drifting aimlessly less than 1/2 mile offshore (apparently no State gambling limits even so close to the beach), a dredger occupying over half the channel with tugs and barges waiting to haul away the sludge picked up and a massive military stealth type vessel running engines ready to roar away! Phew - we were pleased to slip into a quite mooring at Cape marina and relax!

Well, not quite - laundry to do, boat to wash down! A chance contact from some neighbours up in Brunswick - they are in a marina close by in Cocoa Beach - we will try to meet up and gain advice re the ICW passage we are contemplating - just for a change from outside! Pizza and more "Jeeves" episodes rounded a long day (and night)!
