At last we are back on the boat. Arriving late evening but a quick inspection showed Magic Friday had weathered Hurricane Matthew very well. Thanks to a neighbour who had added an extra mooring line, tied down the boom and increased the wraps on the genoa furler, dock hands for having checked all docks and removed loose objects - all was well! Our long absence was the road trip we had taken in Sept - 6,800 miles east to west and back - taking in the Arizona Segura cactus, then with Annelise - the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley and then further on to Las Vegas, Death Valley, Sequoia trees and Yosemite before heading back through Utah and several other States en-route (in fact 16 States)! Great country, great scenery! But now back to sailing again..well, at least setting up the boat again.
