Early morning start - first to call Annelise and wish (sing) her "Happy Birthday"! Then, the bimini and air conditioner stowed away and cast-off at 08:00 - a little sideways drift into a corner of the pontoon..oops - another "dock bruise" to sort out back in Brunswick - still, these things happen when one takes the boat out! Sails set, very light easterly wind - not the right course to fly the asymmetric by a pleasant 4-5 knot cruise back up the coast under a scorching sun, Noon day sights - positioning not bad - but glad to have the chart-plotter to confirm! A visitor after lunch - joined us for the rest of the journey - a brown gull. Most inquisitive - he/she enjoyed walking the full deck from stern to bow on post and then down to the stern on starboard, at one point in the cockpit. Not at all frightened of our proximity or the music playing! He left us a few times and came back. Leaving a "calling card" (to be washed down later) each time! Tied up on starboard (to facilitate repair of the dock bruise, all set up again back in Brunswick landing Marina - stories to share with fellow neighbours as the night draws in on a long and tiring day.
