A lazy morning start - in amongst the shrimper competitors again! Finally plugged the starboard aft deck holes (the source of the leak) with wooden dowels - these should never come out or leak ever again!! Then, weigh the anchor and a short motor across St Mary's inlet, past the big paper mill works (not a particularly pleasant smell) to Fernandina Beach marina. Nicely tucked in on the inside of a long concrete floating dock, colourful buildings overlooking the marina, motorised "pueblos" passing close by. We checked in with the dock-master for 2 nights and ....after setting up the air conditioner (yes - we brought it with us!!)....off to explore the nearby historic town, and shops a very pretty place with plenty of history. Evening meal at the Salty Pelican (although as Di found out later - the oysters are to be avoided)!
