Slipped mooring lines at 08:30 just past high tide and away down towards St Simmons Inlet and out to sea on a clear blue sky morning, light winds - it was good to be on the move again. Genoa set as we passed St Simmons lighthouse and into the channel. The light southerly winds forecast to veer
easterly later in the day - we decided to turn south and re-visit our Cumberland Island anchorage - 40nm away. So, some tacking under full sails
(main and self-tacking job) saw us make some headway until finally the easterlies filled in and we could follow our course. Ominous thunder clouds
over land were not welcoming as we turned into St Mary's inlet. Thankfully they moved northward as we edged onto our anchorage and set for the night.
