Wednesday winch maintenance day - at least the two manual coach roof winches as the port side was not sounding too good the last time we were out - so maintenance and possibly repair. Excellent video demonstration from Lewmar (watched it twice...!). Not too difficult to dismantle although the gear pins were a little corroded - so not quite as the demo suggested: "no tools needed"!! Nevertheless, nicely done, cleaned, checked out (the port side springs on the pawls had been dislodged - fortunately not lost) - all pieced back together and sounding good. Will have to see have it responds under load.
Evening marina Clubhouse get together - plenty of other cruisers there for beer, wine and nibbles (now on Mon, Wedn and Fri nights)! A pleasant chat with others - their plans, latest trips, anchoring experiences etc... - we often all share the same woes! Pasta and wine dining in the evening sunset finished the day ... of and another episode of "Death in paradise" this time!
