Action stations - the (quite long) list of maintenance jobs to do! All planned and on schedule.

Straight into stripping down the head - yes that belt drive is slipping again. Not a pleasant task but has to be done. This time, armed with a small bearing puller - intending to replace the larger pulley this time as well - hoping that that is the problem of short-lived belts! Typical - the new tool was too large. So, off to the boat yard, could they help? No. Next to the local hardware store, could they help? Well, they tried - but no. The only solution was to break the plastic pulley to give room for the puller to fit - success! Discovered the smallest grub screw in the world on the larger pulley wheel - missing from the original wheel - was this the reason the belt was slipping - we will see! Only snag trying to re-fit the (now expanded) odd shaped o-ring (fell out of its housing at the hardware store) - why is it o-rings never re-fit into their housing? Tried the freezer to cool the rubber - still too large - had to cut the o-ring to size, gasket glue and re-assemble - hoping there would not be a leak - especially in the macerator!! Phew, what a job, head re-assembled, no leaks (so far) and a quiet functioning belt drive again!

Time overran - so no Friday evening clubhouse social (beer, wine and nibbles) for us. Instead, an evenings relax with an episode of "House of Cards" (we are on the 3rd series and episode 22)!
