At the lift-out dock for noon (high tide). Manatees alongside the jetty - wonderful to watch.

Lift out - 2 attempts / re-adjusting the slings to avoid taking off the backstays. Inspection of the sail drive rubber seal - yes, it is still
there, intact (and re-usable) BUT clearly the adhesive had not held to the rubber surface, even the 5200 was coming away from the hull underside - so clearly the preparation of surfaces had not suited the glue application.Well, at least we don't have to purchase another seal.

Then check the sacrificial anodes: bow thruster ok, propeller shaft anodes to replace and .where is the cone anode, and where is the adapter ring? We must have lost this sometime on our Bahama trip - loose screws?? Frantic calls to suppliers to overnight the parts and not to delay the re-launch.
Next to hull cleaning and sail drive oil replacement (only possible when out of the water).

A good days work..at the yard.

Next to find some accommodation for the night (not able to stay on the boat whilst on the hard standing) - a trip into nearby St Simmons and a room
at the Lighthouse Inn. A delightful boutique hotel even with a (small) pool - hopefully warmer than Phoenix City Alabama! We will try it out tomorrow.

As dinner beckons - a very nice oyster bar just minutes from the hotel in downtown St Simmons fitted the bill perfectly.

What a day!
