A quiet night - checking the marks every few hours to ensure we remained where we had "parked" the boat (on two anchors) yesterday - all was well. Waking to a clear blue sky, crystal clear turquoise waters and a sandy beach flanked with private houses on south Bimini Island - what could be better! First - investigate the engine fan which appeared to have given up some time ago - traced the fuse as part of the Volvo Relay circuit - replaced and we have a cooling fan operational again! Then a brief dive whilst Di waves the diving flag at speeding passer-bys to slow them up - I inspected and cleaned the hull (needs a fresh coat of anti-fouling) and checked the anchors - spending a surreal few minutes "sitting" on the soft sand 15' below the surface - peace! A cocunut floats by whilst we were lunching - no not an inetresting sighting for a competition point! The afternoon afforded us time to go ashore and explore the island....soft sand, shells galore, land crabs and some interesting holiday developments along a creek - but all shut up - end of season or just not used(?)...the island appeared almost deserted! A last game of bowls on the beach, backgammon and bbq on the boat and a movie. But not such a quiet night - electric storms all around us, eventually becoming heavy rain - fortunately no high winds and we stayed in one place - well, we "rolled" in one place as the waves rocked the boat from side-to-side!
