What was to be a lazy day swinging on the anchor turned out to be quite exhausting - helping a fellow yachtsman to solve a problem with their in-mast reefing (on their request) : the main halyard had parted leaving the sail badly creased inside the mast. Three trips up the mast (great views of the bay and nearby reef - but no camera to hand) and several hours later we had the main neatly flaked over the book but unable to get the furling collar and halyard down inside the mast - unfortunately a bent cotter pin was preventing its downward passage. So having to leave the problem at that stage I re-joined Di on Magic Friday for a late evening bbq and rest! Tomorrow is another day with another possible solution for them...let's see.
