Happy Easter! An early morning swim around the boat, Easter eggs and presents, a pancake breakfast (courtesy of Annelise) and then once again hauling the anchor (it gets heavier every time...) and back out to sea into the persistent easterly wind - blowing 10-12 knots. Tacking upwind for a couple of hours, more making of water en-route and then a coastal motor towards Nassau harbour entrance. Despite having clearance from Harbour Control to enter the harbour, two cruise ships cast-off and steamed towards the narrow exit - not wanting to debate rights-of-way with 158m (520ft) ships we stood-off the entrance and watched the cruisers depart for U.S. Virgin Island of St Thomas. Once inside we raised Atlantis Marina and secured our pre-reserved slip in the exclusive marina. Facilities included full use of the hotel resort complex (a maximum of 10 persons per vessel - we were fine with 3 guest passes), golf cart pick-ups/drop-offs, 24hr room service to the boat and paper delivery!! A walk around the marina was a show in itself and now understanding why this marina was limited to boats over 40ft long....the motor yachts averaged 60-90ft with the private yacht “Skyfall" at somewhere near 150ft! (We looked for Daniel Craig on deck)!!  Luckily we were nicely tucked away by the Point swimming pool and bar! The Atlantis resort was SO much bigger than expected - a map was definitely needed as we quickly got lost wondering around. Viewing very natural looking lagoons and aquarium complexes, walking through underwater tunnels with sawfish and spotted sharks, tarpons and rays. Turtles and rope bridges over hammerhead sharks and every other possible tropical fish. Eventually finding ourselves at the Mayan water slides for some fun on the tubes - which passed through tunnels in the shark pools - awesome! Wondering back through the marina village to the Point bar for cocktails and conch fritter appetizers watching yet another sunset over Nassau waters. Did I mention another Easter egg to round off the day?!
