cold Savannah heading downriver to open sea again, avoiding container ships on
the way and using a strong outgoing tide mid-morning. Set sails south for
St Simon's Sound sometime early morning. Wind variable eventually motor-sailing
into the night. Watches established - all is well. Decided to skip St Simon's
Sound, then St Mary's River and move on to St John 's River
inlet - a more estbalished entrance from the Atlantic - ETA approx 09:00
next day with incoming tide. Phil and Di
