All is well on board; the blocking high continues to hold and we are still enjoying light, downwind sailing conditions. Last night we sailed wing-on-wing with a gorgeous full moon lighting our path. This morning we gybed for the first time since leaving North Minerva Reef and are now on the home straight to Opua with the lightweight MPG back in service.

We have had our third visit from the New Zealand airforce who are very vigilant in monitoring their borders. A brief chat on the VHF seems to keep them happy.

Timing's one arrival is not always easy and it looks like we'll be closing in on Opua's Quarantine Dock at silly o'clock Saturday - deep joy! Nevertheless we'll be thrilled to arrive whatever the time; the champagne is on ice...
