We had a brilliant time in Samoa and it was with some reluctance that we started to get ready to head off.  The people were extremely friendly and seemed to go about their business with a smile on their face.  Having a car for a couple of days enabled us to venture beyond the main town of Apia and so we enjoyed the tasty lunch time treats of Krush, the vegan café and dinner at The Curry House, both located on the Cross Island Road.

We met and socialised with the crews on Il Grancho, Free Spirit, Magic Swan and Pagase III all of whom are travelling in the same broad direction, so we look forward to catching up with them down the track somewhere.

With a weather window emerging for the upwind trip to Tonga we prepared the boat and some meals and were ready to leave at first light.
