The Underwater World of Isla Contadora, Las Perlas

After a few days of relaxing on board and cleaning the boat after the dust from Panama City, we decided to head out in the dinghy and explore the nearby reef.  The water is certainly colder than the Caribbean waters we’d become accustomed to, but not as cold as we’d feared and wow were we in for a treat.

 

We saw lots of fish, a turtle and two white tip sharks!  One of these swam past us and out to sea and the other was having a nap, so no drama was had.  We decided to use our camera in its underwater housing for the first time and are pleased with the initial attempts:
