Hi All

The radar went wild at about 5 am on Sunday morning showing huge cloud banks. Soon after there was thunder, lightening and tons of rain. We rode out the numerous squalls of well over 35 knots for about 4 hours and then the squalls moved on forward and to leeward of us. Slowly the skies cleared and sun came out.

The USA Coast Guard came aboard about 8 miles out to do a ‘Safety Check’ of Meshugga, and they were most professional, welcoming and friendly.

Arrived safely at Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA around midday yesterday.

Entry into the port was straightforward and we were lucky to be exactly on time for the Bascule Bridge of 17th Street to open, which is immediately inside the port and gives entry to the North of the Intercostal Waterway.

We are now anchored in Lake Sylvia, a small tidal lake off the main Intercostal Waterway channel, and this morning  will go to Clear In with Customs and Immigration.
Thereafter next stop is to find some local Simm Cards and get connected.
Enjoy your week

Take Care
