When we arrived at Covered Portage Cove, the inner anchorage was full of yachts so we anchored in the outer anchorage along with another 5 boats, one of which was Magic Carpet with Clare and Jerry (good friends of both Tom and Nancy of SV Mistress and Elaine and Norm of the Blue Cottage) who came to visit.

Stephen and Fran from Tug ‘N were in the Cove and came to say Hi.

Over the next two days the inner anchorage emptied out and we moved in..... beautiful and serene. I was able to SUP again and sleep on the SUP in the shade of the sides of the cove.

Walking up to the top of the surrounding cliffs, gave me a superb view of Meshugga at anchor.

We dinghyied 2 miles to Killarney, the Village in the area for the ‘World Famous” Fish and Chips.

Back at Covered Portage, the cove has begun to get a little fuller, but nowhere as full as we’d expected it to be over a weekend.

We were delighted to watch 2 Otters diving for crayfish under a smaller sailboat anchored in a shallower patch. Not sure what or why, but those Otters Loved diving under their boat, coming up crunching on something.
