Apologies for being so tardy in posting.
My New Year Resolution, now heading back to Meshugga is to post at least every 2 weeks.

We arrived in Trinidad, the oldest city in Cuba on 27 December, Connor’s 29th Birthday, and went out to a lovely restaurant in the old city to celebrate. Cobble stones alleys for roads and every house was a Casa, i.e. Homestay.  Next day Connor, Nicholas and Genne went back into the old city to explore, I chose to stay aboard Meshugga and do some prep, as we planned to leave the following day to visit Havana. Just as well, as after negotiating the shallow channel into the Trinidad Marina Bowl, we found the Marina could only accommodate about 20 boats, and all the slips were full either with Charter boats, or long stay Cruisers.
The Bowl was incredibly safe with Mangrove all around, only the entrance channel, a dogleg open, and Security guards on the Marina road entrance. On the 29th we went in, anchored Meshugga in good holding mud, and settled into our taxi for a 4 1/2 hour drive to Havana.
