UTC 1228…

For those sceptics  who do not believes in miracles… The miracles exists! ;-)

Otherwise, how can you explain the following ?

I was sitting on the deck,  having late lunch,  enjoying the  beautiful day around,  with a nice breeze which was bringing us  towards the Spanish coast…  I bit in a wrong direction… But so peacefully, so nicely…. And, to tell the truth,  we were still gaining some distance towards the proper destination…

The mists/fog lifted, opening the nice coast and scenery …
‘ The only thing which may be better — the wind veered about 60 degrees, and we would continue to sail on the same tack along the coast… No tacking…’, I said to myself. ‘ I should also admit that sailing on the flat seas, especially on beating courses… very pleasant! ‘, I added….

A few moments later, the boat started to slow down….  I looked up on the wind indicator,  and could not believe it… From closed haul we moved to the beam …
Still in disbelieve,  I turn the boat, and  we moved from course 355 to 52… targeting exactly one of the bays in Cartagena area… ;-)

I’m checking the plotter again and again… We are approximately 25 nm from Cabo Tinoso,  approaching it at about 5 kts, instead of 1.2….
We have a chance to reach an anchor tonight!

Talk to you soon,
M.
